In-House Assessments
Electro- Dermal Screening (EDS)
Electro- Dermal Screening (EDS) offers a quick, non-invasive screening method for determining health imbalances. Patients concerned about longevity, wellness, and preventative care will find an EDS scan to be an unparalleled source for answers to their health situations. The EDS Testing Device indirectly measures energetic frequencies by using electrical conductance. The technician tests the conductivity of different meridian points by applying the stylus onto the meridian point on a patient’s hands and feet. EDS testing offers a source of valuable assessment information, unattainable in any other fashion.
Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)
The BIA assesses “body composition,” the measurement of body fat in relation to lean body mass and can provide specific information such as fluid distribution, cell health and metabolic rate. The test itself takes 5 minutes and results are instant.
Heart Rate Variability Testing
The Institute of HeartMath Research Center is exploring emotions and how they affect our physiology, with an emphasis on the physiological effects of positive emotions. The heart and brain maintain a continuous two-way dialogue, each influencing the other’s functioning. The signals the heart sends to the brain can influence perception, emotional processing and higher cognitive functions. This system and circuitry is viewed by neurocardiology researchers as a “heart brain.” This technology can be used to measure heart rate variability, which can help further understand the impact of stress on the autonomic nervous system and body.
Urinalysis
A ten-patch strip is used for the semi quantitative determination of specific gravity, pH, leukocytes, nitrite, protein, glucose, ketone bodies, urobilinogen, bilirubin, and blood in urine. This rapid test can provide useful information about kidney function and blood filtration capacity.
Urine Indican
The Urinary Indican Test is an accurate, simple and inexpensive screening tool, allowing identification of the putrefaction of protein in the gastrointestinal tract. The test detects the presence of indican in urine; also knowns as indoxyl sulphate, produced when there is putrefaction of tryptophan from dietary protein by dysbiotic bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. A positive test result, therefore, may indicate dysbiosis, SIBO, impaired gut motility and/or malabsorption states.
Koenisberg Test
The Koenisburg is a simple screening tests for adrenal stress, kidney dysfunction, and mineral wasting syndromes. It works by assessing aldosterone levels in the urine.
Zinc Tally Test
The Zinc Tally test measures zinc status, as serum zinc levels are inaccurate. Zinc is one of the most critical and often deficient minerals in the body. It is required for over 2000 biochemical reactions. The test is done by giving the patient an oral solution and the patient is then asked to rinse their mouth with the fluid for 5-10 seconds before swallowing. Results are instant and can let the doctor know if you are suffering from a zinc deficiency, which can impact immune and detoxification function.
Nitric Oxide Diagnostics
Nitric Oxide (N-O) is a critical molecule naturally produced in your body that helps maintain optimal circulation and immune function. The test is done by quantifying salivary levels. The test is quick and results are instant.
Live Cell Analysis
This lab technique has been used extensively in Europe for decades. Using a single drop of finger-pricked blood and an ultra-dark field microscope, many areas including nutritional status can be revealed immediately. Live cell analysis can be a valuable screening tool providing information about microbial status, gut function, blood viscosity, toxin accumulation, hormone balance and gallbladder function to name a few.
